MISCELLANEOUS: The genes bscA, bcsB, bcsZ and bcsC are constitutively transcribed but cellulose synthesis occurs only when AdrA, a putative transmembrane protein regulated by AgfD, is expressed. Cellulose production is abolished in E.coli K12.
