Regulates septin organization in late G1 independently of its role in polarity-axis determination.

SUBUNIT: Interacts with BEM1, BUD3, BUD4, BUD5, CDC24 and CDC42.

INDUCTION: Expression shows a peak at the start of the cell cycle just before bud emergence in late G1 phase.
